French as a foreign language - Phonetics

Goal: Improve pronunciation of the French language.
Public: All persons of non-French speaking origin, who are registered with the Cours Municipal d'Adultes (Municipal Courses for Adults). Class time and registration are determined by the need for homogenous groups that share the same linguistic backgrounds.
Programme: Vowels: simple vowels, nasal vowels, denasalisation.
Consonants: silent and audible sound pairs, oppositions of the articulation point, nasals, distinctive oppositions, pronunciation of /R/.
Articulation classes: perception of all syllables. Syllabic equivalence: word accent, group accent. Consonant continuity: linking consonants, sounding of final consonant before initial vowel sounds. Vowel continuity: oral vowels, nasal vowels.
Schedule: Winter session: from 25 February 2007 to 7 March 2008
Spring session: from 21 April to 2 May 2008. Thursdays class, anticipate one more course.
Day course: 10-hour lessons per week.

Subway : Alésia or Plaisance.
Classes from Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or from 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.
