Registration schedule
- The registration period extends from the 3rd to 21th September 2007 for yearly classes and 1st semester classes.
- From January 2nd to January 25th 2008 for 2nd semester classes.
- For sessions, all year round.
Public
- The Cours Municipaux d’Adultes de la Ville de Paris (adult education) is specially designed for Paris residents, who are required to enclose proof of residence (copy of a phone bill, utility bill, lease...) with their applications.
- The courses are reserved exclusively for adults over the age of 18, whatever their professional status.
- Moreover, anyone attending classes within a professional context or people following a Cours Municipal d’Adultes programme are given priority, as long as their application is received during registration.
- People with an irregular attendance record will not be allowed to register again.
- Taking classes of the same level three times, whatever the institution, is not allowed.
- Classes are designed solely for private individuals.
As it does not have training institution status, the Bureau des Cours Municipaux d’Adultes cannot ensure payment of your classes by a company, or any other organisation.
Registration procedure
- Registration forms are available from 3rd September 2007 at your local Mairie or at the front desk of the Hôtel de Ville.
- Your registration form must be correctly completed, duly stamped and sent by post to the chosen institution, accompanied by a copy of proof of residence.
- Should you fail to complete your form correctly, or use insufficient postage or send it in too late, it will not be taken into account.

Send your application form directly to the school where the class you wish to attend will be held.
It must be sent by post and accompanied by a copy of proof of residence under pain of nullity.
Registration follow-up
The educational institution to which you have applied is responsible for your registration. Your application is either:
- accepted, subject to:
- passing a level test and/or a prior interview,
- and/or availability,
- waiting list,
- refused (no availability, incomplete application form or applicant having already taken the class twice, etc.).
Replies will be sent out from 18th September 2007 and 22nd January 2008 for the second semester. The Institutions concerned must not be called directly.
Notification and registration
- If your application is accepted, you will be notified by mail and given an appointment to register by the training institution.
You must come to the given day and time, otherwise your application will be dropped.
Don’t forget to bring:
- the notification,
- an identity document and photo,
- copies of your degrees, if it applies,
- public liability insurance for the classes during which machines and tools are used.
- Registration is subject to level tests and/or interviews to assess motivation.
- Registration is subject to availability.
- Fees are to be paid by cheque on registration day. You will be given a receipt and a card that will let you attend the class.
